We spend a lot of time in the saddle, at a keyboard writing lines of code that will turn into the data-driven, responsive, and (hopefully) engaging things that you interact with on the web.
While we spend hours perfecting our craft, learning and creating new things -- there are many things that we do away from the keyboard that shape who we are and influence the digital products that you see across the web.
That's where #NotAlwaysCoding came from... it's a way for us to show you the things we're into when we're not hitting keys.
We formed The Orion Project in 1999 and started cranking out sites when the web was a very different place.
While creating things for the web, we did a lot of other neat things. We traveled, we played, we grew and we learned. And you didn't see any/much of that.
The idea for #NotAlwaysCoding was hatched and we started to post our non-code related exploits on our social media accounts, sharing some of our experiences and some of the things that shape us.
This site was launched as a way to share the spirit of #NotAlwaysCoding and hopefully prompt others into sharing, not only their digital work, but also the things that make them happy and what they are involved in away from the internet.
